Resiliency and Sustainable Development Center (RSDC)

The Resiliency and Sustainable Development Center (RSDC) responds to the needs for solution/s to societal problems through lifelong scientific learnings, discovering and innovating new things/strategies/products/systems while working directly with the communities. It caters researches that supports stewardship, capacity building addressing the UN sustainable development goals. RSDC has multi-disciplinary research teams to address environmental factors and health, environmental quality concerns and solution, vulnerability reduction, enhance resiliency and reduce risks from natural and technological hazards

Mapua University ranks 101-200 in the World University Rankings 2002 - SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) of Times Higher Education (THE). The highest SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) rank among the 17 SDGs.” Collaborative water quality related research projects and its scientific publications contribute significantly in achieving high score in the THE World Ranking.

SDGS (Sustainable Development Goals and its Solution)

Mapua University in partnership with Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Philippines organized a workshop on “Sustainable Development Goals and its Solution” at Boac, Marinduque and San Agustin, Romblon on June 26 and 16 July 2020, respectively. These workshops were funded by German Cooperation (implemented by GIZ) through SDSN Philippines. Marinduque State College and Romblon Medical Society collaborated with Mapua University to carry out the workshops. The local government officials of both Marinduque and Romblon actively participated in these two events.
